Date: August 28, 2026 Age: 39 Bodyweight: ~81–82 kg Focus: Assess bench readiness, stop loading the symptomatic right pec/biceps area, and redirect the session toward non-provocative accessory work.
Context: Strength capacity appeared essentially restored during the bench warm-ups, but the deep stretching/soreness through the right pec and biceps remained present. It was no worse than Wednesday, but had not fully recovered. Hanging leg raises and the stabilization/stretch involved in them are a possible contributor, although the cause remains uncertain.

Exercises intentionally removed: Incline DB press, pull-ups, dips, pushdowns, overhead extensions, hanging leg raises and windshield wipers were skipped to avoid further pressing, loaded stretching or stabilization through the symptomatic right pec/biceps region. No additional band work was performed.
Session Interpretation / Why This Session Matters
Today’s warm-ups provided a useful distinction: systemic strength recovery appears essentially restored, while local right-side tissue recovery remains incomplete.
This differs from the earlier generalized fatigue episodes. The bar itself did not feel unusually heavy. Instead, the persistent right pec-to-biceps stretching/soreness remained the limiting factor.
Because Wednesday had already demonstrated that 102.5 kg remained comfortably within current strength capacity, there was little benefit in proving that again. Terminating bench at 80 kg avoided turning a recovery assessment into another loading test.
The immediate priority is now allowing the affected area several days without meaningful pressing or loaded stretching rather than repeatedly testing it every 48 hours. The next bench session should therefore be determined by how the area recovers rather than automatically returning to the normal heavy-volume progression.
